The petroleum history in Romania is inextricably linked to the Faculty of Petroleum and Gas Engineering, the faculty which extended its name to the Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiești. The notable contribution of the Romanian oil and gas specialists to identifying natural reservoirs, to oil well drilling and to oil and natural gas recovery can also be credited to the high standards of education and training provided by the Faculty of Petroleum and Gas Engineering. This fact has played an important role in the recognition of our learning institution all over the world.
